What to do
- Carry a copy of your ID proof while travelling within the city.
- Carry sunscreen and apply it regularly.
- For Delhi site seeing, comfortable walking shoes or sneakers are preferred to walk around. A light jacket or sweatshirt should is recommended for the evenings.
- Always carry a water bottle with you to stay hydrated.
- Keep your valuables and passports in hotel lockers or safe deposit vaults.
- Check about photography permission or filming at any monument.
- Change money only at authorized foreign exchange outlets, banks and hotels. Always insist on a receipt for money changed.
- In case of loss of any documents, inform the hotel and get in touch with your contact person from HCLTech.
- For medical assistance, please get in touch with your HCLTech contact person and your hotel.
What to avoid
- When not in the hotel or HCLTech campus, don’t drink tap water. Ensure that you always drink mineral water or aerated drinks. Ask for mineral water in restaurants.
- Don’t take photographs of people or places without permission.
- Don’t accept food or drinks from strangers.
- Don’t leave your belongings unattended in public places.
- Especially in unfamiliar areas or cities you don’t know well, use trusted transport and stay in well-lit areas.
